With the Brexit, this application category is being replaced and complemented with the EU Settlement Scheme. If you are holding a Permanent Residence you are expected to apply and register with the UKVI under EU Settlement Scheme. After completing a 5-year continuous stay the applicants receive Settled Status via email confirmation. If the total stay is below 5-year then the Scheme will approve the status as "Pre-settled Status".

EU Settlement Scheme information is updated by the UKVI in the light of new developments.

Fees and Processing

The permanent Residency application fee is £65 for each applicant. Non-EEA & Swiss family members who lived in the UK for a continuous 5-year period together with their EEA or Swiss national qualified family member can also apply for a Permanent Residence. After obtaining this status they should switch to the EU Settlement Scheme before the deadline.

EU Settlement Scheme :
After documenting permanent residence, you can apply for the EU settlement scheme online through EU Exit: ID Document Check application. It is available for Android and iPhone.
